Vision 2027
Help Us Make Room to Grow
$20,000 Goal Ready for January 2027
HecLife is growing—and that is an answer to prayer.
More children are learning at HecLife, our students are advancing to new grade levels, and families want their children to continue their education with us. Now, we need to make room for them.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 by November 2026 to complete two critical projects before students return for the new school year in January 2027.
Project 1: Create Two New Classrooms
Right now, two classes share one classroom divided by a partition. While this has allowed us to make the most of the space we have, it limits the number of students we can serve.
As our current Grade 3 students prepare to advance to Grade 4, we want them to have the opportunity to continue their education at HecLife.
As a practical and cost-conscious solution, we plan to temporarily convert an on-site shipping container into two functional classrooms.
These additional classrooms will allow us to increase class sizes, relieve our current space limitations, and create the room needed for our students to continue growing with HecLife.
Funding will cover the container conversion, construction and local labor, as well as desks, furnishings, and other classroom necessities required to create safe and functional learning spaces.
Project 2: Complete Our Cafeteria & Dining Hall
Currently, HecLife does not have a dedicated space for students to eat. Instead, classroom space must be flexed and used as a dining area during mealtimes—space that is becoming increasingly valuable as our school grows.
We have already taken the first steps toward changing that.
The walls of our future cafeteria and dining hall are built. Now, we need your help to finish it.
Completing the structure will give students a dedicated place to gather and eat while allowing our classrooms to remain what our growing school needs them to be: places for learning.
Our Parents Are Investing, Too
One of the most encouraging developments at HecLife over the past year has been the growing partnership with our students' parents and families.
Our parents are not simply recipients of HecLife's mission—they are active partners in it.
Families regularly participate in PTA meetings and school discussions, and they are increasingly finding practical ways to contribute to the needs of the school. Parents have brought and supplied firewood used by the school and have participated in other initiatives to help support the HecLife community.
These contributions may look different from the financial gifts provided by our stateside donors, but they represent something incredibly important: families investing what they can in their children's education.
We want HecLife's future to continue being built this way—through partnership.
Parents investing locally. Teachers investing daily. Donors investing generously. Together, we are creating opportunities for children to thrive.
One Goal. Two Projects. More Room for Our Students.
Our $20,000 campaign goal will fund the completion of both projects, including:
Shipping container conversion into two classrooms
Construction materials and supplies
Local labor
Completion of the cafeteria and dining hall
Classroom desks and furnishings
Essential classroom and facility needs
Why Now?
Kenya's new school year begins in January 2027, giving us a very real deadline.
Our goal is to have the $20,000 fully funded by November 2026, allowing time for materials to be purchased, local workers to complete construction, classrooms to be furnished, and everything to be ready when students arrive in January.
This isn't growth for the sake of getting bigger.
It's making room for the children who are already growing with us—and opening the door for more children to have the same opportunity.
Help Us Build What's Next
For more than a decade, God has used the generosity of HecLife supporters alongside the commitment of our Kenyan staff, parents, and community to turn needs into opportunities.
Now, we have another opportunity to build something tangible that will impact students every school day.
Whether you give $25, $100, $500, $1,000, every gift moves us closer to serving more students in January 2027.
