Future Projects

Kitchen

We are upgrading our current basic fire pit kitchen to a more modern, efficient facility. This new kitchen will be equipped with proper cooking appliances and tools, allowing our school cook to prepare meals in a safer, more sanitary environment. With this upgrade, we will be able to serve three balanced meals a day to all of our children, ensuring they have the nourishment they need to stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn. This improvement marks a significant step toward enhancing the overall care and support we provide to the children at HecLife.

Bunk Beds

Our first project is to furnish a dormitory that will house 65 students, providing them with a safe and supportive environment where they can live and receive around-the-clock care. In line with our commitment to sustainability and local empowerment, we will be outfitting the dormitory with sturdy, locally crafted bunk beds made by skilled Kenyan artisans. This project will not only offer students a comfortable place to sleep but also allow them to stay on campus, ensuring they have access to consistent care, educational resources, and essential services. By providing a stable home environment, we aim to give each child the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Full Bathrooms

As part of our efforts to create a safe and comfortable living environment for students, HecLife is upgrading our bathroom facilities to include multiple showers. This essential improvement will accommodate the increased number of students living on campus and ensure they have access to proper hygiene and sanitation. The new facilities will provide a cleaner, more efficient system for daily use, allowing students to maintain their personal health in a dignified and respectful environment. This upgrade is an important part of our commitment to offering around-the-clock care and meeting the needs of every child who calls HecLife home.

Cafeteria

We are in the process of finishing out the cafeteria, creating a welcoming space where each student will have a designated seat to eat their meals together. This upgrade will not only offer a clean and organized dining area but also foster a sense of community as students gather for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. By providing a proper cafeteria, we ensure that the children have a consistent and supportive environment where their nutritional needs are met, further enhancing their overall well-being and sense of belonging.

Future Projects

HecLife's future vision includes becoming a fully self-sustaining boarding school to ensure long-term stability and independence.

By achieving these goals, HecLife aims to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children, many of whom are orphans, can live and learn without the constant reliance on external support. Becoming self-sufficient will allow the organization to better focus on its mission and adapt to future needs, while also serving as a reliable resource for the community. Despite the challenge of securing a reliable source of donations, HecLife remains dedicated to empowering these children and supporting their journey toward a brighter future.
