Growing With Purpose
God has continued to open doors for HecLife, and over the past several years we have seen incredible growth—not only in the number of children we serve, but in the strength of our school community.
In 2025, HecLife served 115 students across all grade levels, representing an important milestone in our mission to provide children with access to quality education and a safe, nurturing place to learn.
As our students have grown, our school has grown with them. Over the past three years, we have celebrated student graduations and added two additional grade levels, allowing children to continue their education at HecLife rather than leaving the school as they advance. That growth also brings our next challenge: creating the classroom space, facilities, staffing, and resources necessary to continue growing alongside our students.
More Than a School
One of HecLife's greatest strengths is the community surrounding our students. Parents play an active role in their children's education, regularly participating in PTA meetings, school activities, and conversations about the future of HecLife. Their involvement reinforces something we deeply believe: lasting change happens through partnership, not simply through providing resources.
That partnership extends across continents. During the past two years, HecLife has hosted two group trips to Kenya, giving stateside supporters the opportunity to spend time at the school, serve alongside our Kenyan team, build relationships, and see firsthand both the progress that has been made and the opportunities that remain.
In 2026, HecLife also formalized its Board of Directors, strengthening the organization's governance, accountability, and long-term planning as we prepare for the next chapter of growth.
Building on Our Progress
With the faithful support of our donors, families, staff, and community, we have already reached several important milestones:

Looking Toward 2027 & Beyond
Our growth is something to celebrate—but it also means we must prepare for what comes next.
As students advance and enrollment grows, our priority is to ensure HecLife has the classroom capacity, qualified teachers, educational resources, and facilities necessary to continue serving them well. Completion of the dining hall and expanded kitchen remains an important facility priority, alongside the need for additional classroom space to accommodate future grade levels.
Our long-term vision is to build a strong, sustainable school campus capable of serving children for generations to come. This includes strengthening local sustainability and, as resources and capacity allow, exploring the future development of residential support for children who need it most.
For more than a decade, this ministry has been sustained through the generosity of stateside donors and the daily commitment of our Kenyan staff, families, and community. As HecLife enters its next season, our goal is not simply to serve more children.
Our goal is to grow well, remain faithful to our mission, and build something that lasts.
We are grateful for all God has already done through HecLife—and we look forward with faith and expectation to what comes next.
